Sage 100 Payroll - How to print Employee Name, Social Security Number, and Other Employee Data

Writer: Sage 100 Crystal WriterSage 100 Crystal Writer

The number one question we receive is how to print the employee's name, social security number, and other employee data after upgrading to the new payroll module. With the new payroll module, you need to use the PR_EmployeePIIWrk table, but that only populates when you run the report off the menu.  This is an important security feature they added. Please follow these steps to get your new reports to work.

1) Link the PR_Employee table to the PR_EmployeePIIWrk table. We recommend using a left outer join so you can test the other fields by running the report directly in crystal reports.

Note: even though the fields exist in the PR_Employee table, they will return no data. You need to get the data from the PR_EmployeePIIWrk table.

2) You need to add this report to the Custom Reports Menu within Sage 100.  Make sure the word Custom is in the file name.

3) When you add the report to the menu, within Sage 100, you need to check the box "Do you want to include a PII Worktable with this custom report?" as shown below.

4) When you run the report for the first time, it will want to convert the report you just added. Let the system convert the report.

Note: When upgrading to the new Payroll Version for Sage 100, all previous custom reports will need to be rewritten. Please contact us for assistance in converting old reports.
