How to Add Dynamic Images to your Sage 100 Forms and Reports

Adding Dynamic Images to your forms, such as Sales Order, Picking Sheets, Invoices, or Purchase Orders is extremely easy. Follow these steps to add images to your forms easily. The example below is for the Sales Order form.

1. Associate an image to the item in Item Maintenance.

2. Add the CI_Item table to the crystal report. I made this a left outer join since you might have non-inventory items on the sales order. You can also modify the SO_SalesOrderWrk table to have the image field populated in the .wrk file instead.

3. Add a OLE Object to the crystal report. Under the Format Editor, go to the Picture tab, and select the Graphic Location.

4. Now point to where the image files are located. This should be an UNC path and not a local directory. Add the Image File field to the location so it will pick up the name of the file correctly.

5. Now enjoy your new Sage 100 Crystal Form with images printing on it!
